About

Award-winning author and poet Ellen Kelley’s debut novel, NO GREATER ElleTREASURE, was nominated for the Romance Writers of America coveted Rita Award. Since that time, Kelley has earned a reputation among readers, critics, and booksellers as a talented writer and compelling storyteller. Adding wisdom and wit, she creates believable characters that continue to live on in the minds of her readers. A sixth generation Kentuckian, Kelley resides in West Paducah. In the old southern manner, she still considers the noon meal, dinner, and the evening meal, supper; and prefers to enjoy either at any restaurant in town.

Ellen is a member of  Kentucky State Poetry Society (past president), and a former, long-time member of Romance Writers of America, and Heartland Writers’ Guild.

Personal Quotation

“From a very early age I have been a romantic. I can still hear the high-pitched singing of the mice from my lemon-yellow 45 RPM record, circa 1950’s, ‘Cinderella, Cinderella…,’ and envision the handsome prince and Cinderella waltzing at the ball. And then there’s the silent, beautiful Aurora, her lips waiting for ‘the kiss’ in Sleeping Beauty. (sigh)”
